The Financial Management Service (FMS) plays an important role in the continuous operation and implementation of plans, projects, and activities of the Department by providing support to its financial management. Given this, it is very vital to review and assess its existing processes, services, procedures, and accomplishments towards achieving the Department’s Strategic priorities.
Given this, on November 16, 2023, it will start the conduct of its yearly Service Review and Evaluation Workshop (SREW) held at West Avenue Suites, Quezon City, Metro Manila, in consonance with DSWD Administrative Order No. 09 s.2019 entitled “Amendment to MC No. 13 Series of 2009, Guidelines for the Conduct of Performance Review and Evaluation Workshop.
The said workshop has the following objectives:
- To assess, review, and evaluate FMS accomplishments/outputs for CY 2023 in reference to the 2022 Accomplishments and Outputs;
- To create and draft a service-wide roadmap on Activities, Programs, and Projects per Division and Committee for SY 2024;
- To assess and evaluate all front-line services and core processes per division;
- To review and report the FMS Coaching & Mentoring Program;
- To submit WFP for 2024,
- To analyze and revisit the PRAISE entries and recognize FMS PRAISE NOMINEES; and
- To deliver issues, concerns, and challenges encountered in accomplishing the deliverables and formulate recommendations and interventions for performance and process improvement in line with the identified challenges in 2023.
Furthermore, the employees and staff are all excited to witness and participate in the after-workshop activity entitled “FMS Awards Night” that will happen today. On the said activity, all divisions shall prepare a presentation to showcase their talents and camaraderie among the members of the division, including their Division Chiefs, Unit Heads, Assistant Service Director and the Finance Director. Moreover, the said activity also includes an inspirational talk with present and past retirees, a search for the star of the night, and, most importantly, the awarding of winners and presentation of the nominees for PRAISE 2024.
