Here are some key messages that I can’t overlook in his closing remarks:

1. Express gratitude to the staff who opted for the skeletal workforce to perform their services at the Central Office, even though we engage in this workshop. Share with them the stories of what transpired here, the knowledge and experiences they missed, and convey our genuine gratitude for their sacrifices.

2. Extend appreciation for the efforts of our Personnel Selection Committee (PSC) in minimizing vacant positions in our office. Their hard work in hiring valuable personnel contributes to the strength of the FMS team family.

3. Honor and value FMS Retirees for their dedicated service and draw inspiration and strength from their experiences.

Remember, “Your life and work will be easier and more successful if you talk to a good mentor, which could be one of the FMS retirees.”

4. Pat yourself on the back and appreciate your own efforts

5. It’s not easy to be a public servant, especially in FMS; you need to work hard and play hard, embrace a culture, and collectively sacrifice for success.

6. You can be the best if you truly desire it.

7. Challenge the FMS Unit Head to coach or communicate with their staff, to mentor and guide them in the next phase of their professional journey.

8. To propose and initiate that the Service Review and Evaluation Workshop of an office, especially Financial Management Service, shall take place in the 1st Semester to focus on year-end deliverables in the 4th quarter.
